Stay consistent and celebrate your victories. Even the small ones. Don’t compare yourself to others because none of us are the same. Getting healthy is NOT a one size fits all. It’s a very personal journey, so make sure you pat yourself on the back for those little victories!
I have struggled with my weight for most of my life, I came from a family that has always struggled with obesity and obesity-related illness. I wanted things to be different for me and my family. I was always very active in high school which helped keep my weight in check. Every time the sports season slowed down my weight would climb up again.
After having 3 kids and dealing with surgeries from previous sports injuries, I was living a sedentary life. I had become a couch potato, pair that with my horrible eating habits. I was a mess. We had moved away from all of our friends and family to follow work for my husband and I turned into a hermit. He worked in the underground coal mines, which is already a dangerous job and the jobs were sparse at that. It was stressful! I got into such a very dark place. I didn’t want to leave the house. I stayed inside and all I did was eat my feelings. I felt like a slave to my sugar addiction.
I would wake up in the middle of the night to eat cakes and drink pop. I didn’t sleep well. I was sad, miserable in my own body and I just wanted to sleep every chance I could. Soon, the weight was just packing on more and more. I didn’t want to go anywhere or do anything. I didn’t want to do anything that required me to get out of the sweat pants.
I remember going to a doctor’s appointment and looking at the paperwork to see they had listed me as “morbidly obese”… okay, “obese” I had seen and was kind of used to, but I guess seeing the word “morbidly obese” really got to me! That was it! I started going through the process of losing weight.
I had tried clean eating before, I walked 5-6 miles a day, I took diet pills from my doctor, but nothing helped. I felt hopeless. I truly felt surgery was my only option. I made an appointment with the doctors (which if you missed you had to wait another 6 months before you could get another appointment) and on the way, I got a flat tire and missed my appointment.
Luckily, I had a friend and neighbor who had been using TruVision Health™ and was successful in losing weight. I called her crying about my flat tire and that’s when she convinced me to “just give it a try.” At that point, what did I have to lose? I couldn’t even get an appointment to talk about weight loss surgery for another 6 months.
So I gave it a try! That’s when my life changed forever. On my first day taking the products, I fell in love with the energy I was experiencing.
I didn’t feel jittery and I was up and moving around and I felt great! I noticed I wasn’t craving candy or junk food and I was actually craving water instead of sugary drinks. The next day I woke up in the morning feeling well-rested and refreshed!
By day 4 I had noticed results and my clothes felt more loose. By the end of my first week, I was down several pounds. Seeing that scale jump gave me HOPE for the first time in a long time. I am down 80 pounds now and I feel better than ever! I’m far from living that sedentary lifestyle that I was before. I’m active in the gym almost daily and always hiking, walking, and staying active with my kids on other days.
I don’t diet or restrict myself but these products have shown me how to love my body and that includes nourishing it with the right foods.
As I continued my own journey with weight loss, I also saw the opportunity to build a business and contribute to my family financially. It started with just wanting to make some extra money but it took off because I was truly excited about these products and wanted to share it with everyone I could.
Thanks to this business, I was actually able to get my husband out of his dangerous job. He no longer has to work in the underground coal mines and we were able to fulfill one of our dreams and move close to the beach! TruVision Health™ has changed our lives forever. I am FOREVER grateful for the flat tire, that friend, this amazing company, and the supplements.
My advice to anyone starting on this incredible journey is to stay consistent and celebrate your victories. Even the small ones. Don’t compare yourself to others because none of us are the same. Getting healthy is NOT one size fits all. It’s a very personal journey, so make sure you pat yourself on the back for those little victories.
