A special shout-out to Debbie Johnson from Canada who came by our Corporate Office this morning, she looked ready to hike.[/ultimate_heading]

Speaking of hiking… Angel’s Landing has been named on of the top 10 life-changing trails in Utah. If you’re going to FOCUS and getting pumped to hike one of Utah’s most spectacular trails, here is a little sneak-peak into what exactly you should expect.

Don’t worry… if you’re not attending FOCUS this time around, there are plenty more on the horizon. Earn your trip for FREE by achieving the rank of 3 STAR or save up and snag your ticket early. This trip always sells out and for good reason.

[ultimate_heading main_heading=”Let’s start off with what you should bring with you on this hike. ” main_heading_font_family=”font_family:Waiting for the Sunrise|font_call:Waiting+for+the+Sunrise” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;” main_heading_font_size=”desktop:20px;”][/ultimate_heading]
  • A Backpack (to hold your things of course!)
  • Comfortable Shoes! Tennis shoes or hiking shoes – just make sure they’re comfortable.
  • WATER!!!!! WATER!!!! WATER!!!!!
  • A Windbreaker or Light Jacket (although it can be hot, the wind at the top can get chilly)
  • A Camera
  • Snacks (this hike can take anywhere from 2-5 hours depending on your pace)
  • Hand Sanitizer (You’ll thank us later…think of how many people grip those chains…)
[ultimate_heading main_heading=”Now, onto the hike!!!! ” main_heading_font_family=”font_family:Waiting for the Sunrise|font_call:Waiting+for+the+Sunrise” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;” main_heading_font_size=”desktop:30px;” margin_design_tab_text=””][/ultimate_heading]

The first part of the hike is fairly easy, it’s a paved, steady, uphill walk and if you haven’t paid much attention to your calves lately, now will be the time.

Take your time and enjoy the plants and wildlife as well as the shade during this part of the trail.

As you find yourself staring up at what is nicknamed “Walter’s Wiggles” ( the set of 21 STEEP switchbacks carved out of the rock).

Take a deep breath and think of a mantra that will take your mind and body to the top.

If you’re short on ideas “I can do this” always works.

You’ve made it to Scout Lookout- If you need to use a toilet there is one here. This is usually the point for those that have a fear of heights to turnaround, but since we know you are all here to grow we don’t have to worry about anyone turning around!

When you start your climb up these rocks, don’t worry about your speed.

Take your time, watch your step, and most importantly, utilize the chains as they are there for a reason.

Once there take a million photos, sit and listen to the wind, take it all in.

The way down is the easiest part! If you get a little worried about some of the sections hold onto the chains, ask someone for help, or sit on your pockets and slide a little.  Take one more pit stop at Scout’s Lookout and before you know it you’ll be back on the shuttle.
